Post-Tox TLC: What to Do If You’re Experiencing Side Effects

What to Know About Tox Side Effects (And Why We're Not Afraid to Talk About Them)

Coming in for tox is exciting! You're walking out smoother, more refreshed, ready to feel like yourself again. But like with any medical treatment, there can be side effects, and we'd rather you hear about them from us than find out on Google at 11pm.

Our injectors train constantly. Every provider shadows Katie, our owner and a national trainer in aesthetics, every single week to stay current on technique and safety. We take that seriously because you're trusting us with your face, and that's not something we take lightly.

So here's the honest stuff. Side effects are rare, but they can include mild swelling, headaches or flu-like symptoms, eyelid heaviness or asymmetry, and minor bruising at the injection site. Most of this resolves on its own within a few days to a couple weeks, especially if you follow the aftercare instructions we send you home with.

If something feels off as your tox settles in, please just reach out. You are never bothering us. That's what we're here for.

A few things that help post-treatment: a cool compress if you're puffy, staying hydrated, easing up on salt and alcohol for a day or two, not rubbing or pressing on the area, and sleeping slightly elevated the first night or so.

At the end of the day, we want you informed, not just impressed. Your goals are our goals, and that means being real with you about the whole process, not just the glow up.
